Since I play a lot of slide guitar in open e tuning - I love A harps. These are pretty good out of the box for basic blues and take a beating

i made them an offer $19.00 am i a cheapskate or what? lol
they are chromplated reedplates which means one of two things either theses are meisterclass reedplates very likely
or they are made in china reedplates or possibly the meisterclass reed[plates are made in china.
i have never, ever had any luck with the ms series i have a bitchen hetric comb, but i cant keep it in tune for more than ten minutes

Hell yeah! Just snagged one of the last two! I've wanted one ever since they came out. I've got an aluminum Chris Reynolds comb that the reed and cover plates will look damn fine on. :-) ----------

I ordered one and just got notice that it should arrive tomorrow. I had tried to order one on sale from Guitar Center a year ago or so but they ran out. These seem to be like McDonald's McRibs, here one day and gone the next.

Ours came in the mail today. This is worth much more than twenny dollah. Wood comb is at least partly sealed, back is more open that MB or SP20, and it plays well ootb. Comb and reed plates are a bit bigger than a MB'sor SP20's as well. Low end draws nice, high end Jimmy Reed style blows nice. The dang thing even LOOKS good! More later after a closer look/listen. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene

Yes they look and play decent, worth more than twenty.Put one side to side with a bluesharp, little different covers, but basically same build. Not quite as loud as sp20,should be sweet sounding after breakin, not going to tweak, till i hear some feedback from the guys that hot rod them.

I dig mine. it looks great and is very sturdy. I got one about a year ago when MF was blowing them out and now have a second. My year old harp is still going strong. Only criticism is it doesnt seem as loud as my sp 20's but mic'd it dont matter. Love the cover plates and wish they made more keys.
For stripped down gigs. I bring the deuce in A, a Blue Midnight in c, a special 20 in D and a Steve Baker in F. Covers our basic blues keys and they all look different so no fumbling for the right key harp

my deuce and a quarter has arrived.... casual observation it does not say made in Germany it is supposed to be gold plated "to make it louder".... but it is not. it is appears to be chrome plated. a diatonic with chrom. plating lol i do not have a micrometer but the reed plates do not appear to be twice as thick the reeds themselves appear to be phosphor bronze similar to the suzuki ... it has only two screw holding it together i am sure andrew z can work magic with this platform, but out of the box it is just an ok harp. it is very well tuned.

Got mine in the mail on Friday. Beautiful looking harp! Plays nicely. Used it on a few songs at my gig Saturday night, and it took well to being amplified. I'll most likely shelf it though. Kind of a collector's piece and I don't want it getting worn.
Serously though arzajac...do you have any plans for the cover plates from the ones you say you bought for the reed plates? ----------

Hawkeye: I bought them because of the reed plates but I have nothing against the cover plates per se. And I will need covers for the harps. If you prefer the covers over another MS model's brand new covers, we can trade if you want to pay for the shipping...
