Just posting a comment that I had the absolute pleasure to watch live the great Chicago man himself James Cotton play at a well known blues venue in Sydney 'The Basement', a great spot in the city edging the harbour foreshore. Supported by the James Cotton Blues Band it was an up close and special performance with Dallas bluesman Darrell Nulisch on vocals. This was pure, raw and slick Chicago blues at its best. James Cotton might be pushing 80, has battled throat cancer and needs some help getting onto the stage but shit-a-brick he can still blow and finesse a harp. It was history in the making for me and keeps the fire burning strongly for those who love blues and harmonica.

Check out his CD ' Cotton Mouth Man' too.

Cheers

Well said MalG. I saw JC in Melbourne on Monday night, I wasn't expecting too much...for some reason. I saw Charlie Mussellwhite and Buddy Guy the same night, and both were excellent shows, but JC had a bigger impact for me. He looked to really be having a good time on stage.
