After listening to Chicago Blues for over 40 years, it was a thrill to finally be on a Chicago stage- with Willie Buck. This was at Rosa's Lounge on 6/30/2016. It was jam night but for some reason they had me up with the house band for the whole opening set. I wasn't complaining.
I should have given the credits - Thanks Joe. The piano player was Sumito 'Ariyo' Ariyoshi. who is a 'major dude' himself. I should mention Tony and Thaddeus especially where really welcoming. I shot the shit with Tony - the bar owner and drummer for a while before the set. Not sure why he invited me to play with the house band - but I was honored, - and happy he didn't 'thank me' off stage after the first tune. ---------- Bone's music videos
Amen, - and absolutely. It was the second night of a week in Chicago, capped off by my son's wedding on Sunday, then a Cubs game on the 4th with fireworks on each end of the week.
