This my new video. I decided to play Yesterday (The Beatles cover) in bossa-nova style with touch of drum’n'bass. I played all instruments I can: chromatic harmonica, diatonic harmonica, bass, acoustic guitar, percussion.

What harmonica part do you like more? Chromatic or diatonic?

I prefer the diatonic. I just like the sound of diatonics better. Chromatics, to me, sound more like clarinets and diatonics more like saxes.

Very nicely done.

Thats really cool. I wish i was as musically gifted. Wasted youth .... Lol.

I agree with Nate. I love the diatonic sound. The chromatic just doesnt do the same thing for me. Having said that .. I would really like to learn more on the chromatic. The right things played on the chrom sound very cool. But melodies are drab enough as they are. I think the diatonic adds that cool edge to the melody. While the chrom on melodies just seems a bit plain. Thats just my opinion.

However I really enjoyed the whole song Boris.

Btw ... How many instruments do you actually play?

My preference is Chromatic AND Diatonic!

Each instrument brings something different to the music.

Good playing, Boris!

Very nice,
It was a tough decision to make. It took me three listens to make a decision.
I am totally impressed and jealous of your diatonic work but I have to vote for the chromatic. For me, it just sounds better with this arrangement.
I really do appreciate the quality of your work. Insert applause here …

It's about time I got around to this.

Beautiful work on both. I suppose, if forced to make a choice, I'd give the nod to the diatonic. I love melodies on harp, and the diatonic strikes my ear with a more raw, edgy feel.

I'd pay good money to see Boris and Todd Parrott in a gospel harp duet/duel. That would be quite a show.

Very nice. Great job on both harps. But if I had to choose one over the other, I'd go with the chrom for this song/arrangement. To my ear it works a tad better here.

By the way, the cat napping on the back of the couch looked quite content. I'm sure JR would give his seal of approval on it.

Both are great, but put me in the diatonic camp, too. Just prefer the sound in general.
