With an annoying frequency I find that my reeds get stuck when I´m playing live: spit. Happens once or twice just about every time.(One would think that it should work the other way: with the extra pressure from the live situation you would go slightly drier in the mouth. But no.)
To make things worse I also suffer from the tendency to crouch just a little bit when I get inspired, thus counteracting the -- as far as I know -- simplest way of not releasing spit into the system: leaning backwards.
I don´t suppose there are things you can buy to promote dryness in the mouth?

3 suggestions, if you don't do so already.
When not playing, tap- out harp, along to the music.
Have mic a bit higher so you play upwards a little more.
And the hardest, drink more water than alcohol.

Lots of medications have dry mouth as a symptom, but dry mouth can also lead to tooth decay, so there are probably better options.

Like Andy said, raise the mic a bit. Tip the back of the harp up a bit too, and remember that water or tea with no sugar will at least keep what's going into the harp from being sticky on top of wet.

That crouch will also hurt your breath support, but it seems something that feels 'natural' to do, so it can be a hard habit to break.

This may sound counterintuitive. A voice teacher told me that staying hydrated will really help with this issue. Something about dehydration causes the body to believe the mouth needs to be hydrated. Thus, more saliva. My experience says that she's right. All the best,
Jay

Some nice bud will help dry your mouth out.

Hm, I always drink (moderately) when I perform, but parallell hydration with water must be tested.
The mic is always cupped in my hand, only way I play, so that´s hard to tamper with. And, as nacoran says, a slight stooping or other bodily movement when you´re in the "zone" is really hard to avoid (even if I´m no Lee Oskar).

Martin, if you keep drooling when playing, don't you initiate the psychedelic effect?
(just innocent question...)

You can always rinse the affected harps on break with a bottle of water set aside for the purpose.

@laurent2015: No, unfortunately the only thing that happens is that some reeds turns to silence. Maybe mercyful in its way -- and it´s not long lasting -- but mostly irritating.
