I've been playing my lovely Kalamazoo Model 1 (brown face) amp for years now. I've only ever used the input #1. For some reason I just A/B tested the two inputs with my mic and Input #2 seems to have a lower output. If I turn the volume up to the brink of feedback with it in the #1 input, then switch it over to the #2 input, it's quieter and I get no feedback. I was under the impression that the two inputs are wired together to the same channel. Is one HIgh and the other Low input? Should I be using one over the other with harp mics?

One of them will knock the signal from the mic back more than the other. This is a very common arrangement.
You might find the input with the lower output also gives a darker or muted sound compared to the other.
You can use either. Trust your ears. If the amp is controllable with the high input I usually think it sounds better but that’s me. Some amps are pretty hard to use with the hi/bright input. But some amps sound kinda dull on the low input.

And if you plug instruments/mics into both the low and high, both plugs become LOW inputs. On Peaveys, anyway.
