The Blues Doctors just got a gig at the IBC. We're playing this Friday from 10 to 10:45 at Blues City Cafe. That's the spot between the end of the semifinal there and the beginning of Matt Isbell's Ghost Town Blues Band, which has the 11 to 1 AM slot. Matt asked us to fill in.
It now appears that Sir Rod Patterson, Mr. Satan's nephew, may drive up from Atlanta and join us for a handful of songs: our very first live gig as a trio.
It's a high-stakes gamble, and Rod's presence is not yet confirmed. Most people I know wouldn't debut an untested act in such a public way. But we're crazy and just may.
I'll let you know soon about this. Stay tuned.
But the Blues Doctors are confirmed for that slot.
