A great Example of his traditional (plus) playing.
What I mean is-- He does great A B C etc chorus style, with repeating licks. He also combines great ascending, descending lines. He could follow a great guitar or keyboard solo and not lose a step. Its due to his great ascending and descending lines.
He has an Instructional DVD I HIGHLY recommend--- Mark Hummels Harmonica Party - Amplified Blues Harp from Chicago to the West Coast (DVD, 2006)
He has a great version of "Harpoventilator" I have it in a folder on my computer with each 12 bar seperated. I've been breaking it down. I would post it but its not available except on that dvd. Not on you tube. I do have some ethics. Heres a similar deal, from you tube. the version on dvd is even better.
Check out his website. I bought a couple cd's of his
Nice to see some Hummel on this forum. He's rarely mentioned on this forum. Besides great traditional playing,he's great at out of the box playing. Also a great chromatic player. Check out "Hummelbug".
